Terminal A (South Concourse) at Las Américas International Airport is the primary gateway for international travelers at SDQ, handling the bulk of flights to major destinations across North America, South America, Europe, and the Caribbean. As the most modern and spacious concourse at the airport, it is equipped to accommodate a wide variety of aircraft, from narrow-body jets to wide-body intercontinental planes.
Terminal A at Las Américas International Airport features gates A1-A10 and primarily serves:
- S. Airlines: American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, United Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Frontier Airlines
- Latin American Carriers: Avianca, Arajet (Dominican hub), Copa Airlines
- European Airlines: Air Europa, Air France, Iberia (seasonal and charter routes)
- Regional Caribbean Carriers: Air Antilles Express, VivaAerobus
Gates & Layout
Terminal A features gates A1-A10, located on the upper (departures) level, designed for efficient passenger flow and international operations:
- Gates A1-A5 - Handle U.S. carriers (American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, United) and major Latin American airlines (Avianca, Arajet).
- Gates A6-A10 - Serve additional international routes including European carriers (Air Europa, Air France), Spirit Airlines, and other international operators.
Note: Gate assignments at SDQ are subject to change based on flight schedules. Always confirm your gate at the departure information screens or with your airline.
